I bought this car late in 2007 as I wanted something with a bit more power. I knew the previous owner of this car and had been in it several times. When it came up for sale, I jumped at the chance.
This car is a bit special. Everything on it that looks like carbon fibre is carbon fibre. That includes the entire interior, seats, splitter, cycle wings, half doors and aero screen. The engine was a 2.0 litre dunnel zetec on weber 45's producing about 220bhp. The gearbox was a heavy duty BGH type 9. It had wilwood 4 pots up front with fluke motorsport lightweight disks. A Full cage kept the car stiff as a board.
This car is still the best handling car I've ever driven (admitadly not many). The suspension was solid as a rock, but it made the car grip fantastically well with the steering being particularly sharp.
I sold this car at the end of 2008 to fund my civic and stint in the northern sports and saloon car championship. I still miss this car a lot! |
